Electronic circuit in safety ski binding - causes release of locking mechanism, allowing housing to rotate and release boot

The safety ski binding can be released via an electronic arrangement, and involves a boot support in the form of a flat housing which is permanently fitted to the ski and contains the electronic circuit. The housing has boot attachments which retain the boot on the ski during normal operation, but permits its release when dangerous forces are applied. The support is rotatably fitted around a vertical axis (4) on the ski(S) and incorporates locking mechanism holding the housing(1) on the ski against torsion and blocking the binding(3a, 3b) in the retention position. An electronic circuit operates a release mechanism acting on the locking system to allow the housing to rotate and release the boot.
