A plant for drying and storing of welding powder consists of a single drying oven and several keep-warm storage silos. Each silo have a cover plate with bosses over which the feet of the drying oven can be lowered. A sleeve can be used to seal the discharge funnel with gate valve of the drying oven. The drying oven can thus be raised and lowered by lifting gear and used to charge dry welding powder into several silos where it is stored at 100 degrees C until needed. The storage at 100 degrees C ensures that the powder is of uniform quality. Different grades can be stored in different silos.
