In an ink jet printer having at least one printing head 20,21,22,23 mounted on a carriage 9, each printing head 20,21,22,23 is connected to a stationary ink container 8 through a respective flexible conduit 16,17,18,19 which is substantially straight at least when the carriage 9 is in each of its extreme positions. The conduits are so positioned that, during the movement of the printing means, they can be maintained as closely as possible to the vertical, thereby minimising the effect on the flow of ink through the conduits due to the movement of the carriage. <IMAGE> |
