The anti-theft device for a caravan enables the towing head to be totally or partially lock. Blocking of the ball housing (4) is effected by a sphere (1) with a threaded tail piece (3) and an upper collar (2). Adjustment is by wedges (7) held between the collar and tail piece and a lock nut (6) locking the tail piece in a plate (5). A lock (12) has a bolt (11) engaging a slot (10).
