<p>A process for producing a glass fibre-reinforced thermosetting synthetic resin laminate structure, which comprises sequentially laying down a pre-formed synthetic plastics bottom film formed of a synthetic plastics material compatible with the synthetic resin; a first layer of the synthetic resin or a mixture thereof with glass fibres applied to the bottom film and allowed to remain uncured; a first glass fibre non-woven fibric applied by means of a roller to the first layer; a second layer of synthetic resin or a mixture thereof with glass fibres applied to the first non-woven fabric to impregnate the same; a woven fabric formed from glass-fibre rovings applied to the thus impregnated first non-woven fabric by means of a roller; a third layer of synthetic resin or a mixture thereof with glass fibres to impregnate the woven fabric; a second glass-fibre non-woven fabric applied by means of a roller to the thus impregnated woven fabric; a fourth layer of synthetic resin or a mixture thereof with glass fibres to impregnate the second non-woven fabric; and a pre-formed synthetic plastics top film formed of a synthetic plastics material applied by means of a roller to the thus impregnated second non-woven fabric; each of the films and fabrics being drawn off a supply reel in a continuous drawing operation.</p> |
