Lift drum brake releasing mechanism - has pivoted pawl engaging with rope drum brake shell ratchet teeth

The releasing arrangement is used preferably for lift drum brakes. It ensures safety against inadvertent fall of shelf loader with preloaded brake strap. The pivoted lever (10) has on its free end a pawl hook (12) which engages with ratchet teeth on brake shell (3). The tip (13) of hook points opposite the rope drum rotating direction. An adjustable spring (14) pushes the pawl in contact with ratchet teeth.
