Adjustable foot rest for work stand - uses opposite projections and clamping surfaces for automatic locking connection

The footrest is continuously adjustable and is guided within the vertical guide of a work place stand. The guide has a front and a rear clamping surface. The footrest (1, 2) has two projections (6, 7) with one being positioned in front of the front clamping surface, the other behind the rear one. The distance between the projections is slightly larger than that between the clamping surfaces, so that due to the weight of the footrest the projections are automatically locked with the surface. Upward adjustment of the footrest is via a spring.
