PURPOSE:To produce powder lubricant for powder metallurgy which has superior friction reduction and increase of molded density and extension of die life by melting and mixing high class fatty acid zinc and fatty acid bisamide and powdering the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Powder lubricant is obtained by melting and mixing 10 to 75 by weight % of high class fatty acid zinc such as lauric acid zinc, zinc stearate, and residual high class fatty acid bisamide such as methylene bislauric acid zinc amide, methylene biszinc stearate amide, ethylene bislauric acid zinc amide, ethylene biszinc stearate amide and then powdering the mixture. This lubricant can be used by mixing it with stock metal powder. After this mixture is pressurized in a mold, it is heated to obtain superior strength sintered body. |
