PURPOSE:To increase the production of alpha-1,6-glucosidase or beta-amylase by the cultivation of bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus, by addding a phytic acid derivative to the cultivation medium. CONSTITUTION:Bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing alpha- 1,6-glucosidase or beta-amylase, e.g. Bacillus cereus var, mycoides (FERM-P No. 2391), are cultured in a medium containing 0.01-1% of a phytic acid derivative, esp. Mn-containing phytic acid derivative; and alpha-1,6-glucosidase or beta-amylase is separated from the medium in high yield. |
