[Also in Division F2] A retaining device for cables of ski bindings comprises a base portion 2 mounted on the vertical edge of the ski, a hook portion 3 on said base portion to engage the cable from above and extending down to a point level with the axis of the cable, and an elastic support member, such as a spring 4 under the cable at a distance below such that the space between it and the tip of the hook is less than the diameter of the said cable, whereby in the event of a sideways movement of the skier's foot, such as in a fall, the cable is forced out of the hook. |
