A method for manufg. urea by reaction of an excess of ammonia with carbon dioxide in stoichiometry was discribed. The reaction mixt. contg. urea, water, unreacted ammonia and ammonium carbamate was separated and recycled. Unreacted materials were recycled to the urea synthesis zone and mole ratio of NH3/CO2 was about 5-12. The product was treated at higher temp. and pressure than normal condition, heated, and recyled to the urea synthesis zone.
