Electrolytic sensors incorporating a cast acrylic! seal - for resistance to hydrostatic pressure and low thermal inertia

A submersible electrode probe is made so that the resin used to seal the anode joint also supports the electrolyte chamber and its cover membrane against the pressure of the external system. Pref. probes have a tubular body made of a hydrocarbon polymer and the seal is cast from a polymer of methylmethacrylate. The acrylic seal is cheaper and/or has less thermal inertia than seals of epoxy or PVC.
