The casement bolt fitting comprises a metal cover strip (5) together with a mortised lock housing (2), the strip having a 'U' section and extending to forma flush closure of the housing. The flanges (5a) of the strip are of an identical thickness to the lateral walls of the housing, thus, forming a co-planar extension of the said walls. The housing contains a bolt (4) which is guided by the lateral housing walls and the internal faces of the flanges, also contg. the mechanism which operates the bolt and the transmission rods. The fitting is suitable for use with roller type transmission rods, or with transmission rods (3) connected to bolts at the head and foot of the door.
