<p>For use in building constructions, the building block, pref. made of clay, is produced by a form-pressing process. It is rectangular or square, with bolting devices on the upper and lower sides for mutual mechanical interlocking with other blocks(1) above and below it in a wall. It also has lengthways-extending passage openings (4, 5) to accommodate service ducts and leads. There may also be openings (6, 7) in the side faces, for access to these passages. Locking devices can be a full-length complementary protrusion (2) on top or bottom and recess (3) on the opposite side.</p> |
