A composition comprises, by weight, 15 to 75 percent thermoplastic, synthetic, polymeric, adhesive resin, 30 to 75 percent compatible plasticizer for said resin and, optionally, up to 50 percent compatible adhesion-modifying resin. An article for the removal of ink images from a substrate e.g. type correction, has a face bearing a layer of this ink-specific composition which has a much greater affinity for vertically cohesive ink than for the substrate on which the ink is printed. An ink image may be removed from paper without damage to the paper by contacting it with the face of the article bearing the ink-specific composition and lifting from the paper. |
