PURPOSE:To increase processing speed, by detecting the gap condition of the minimum processing speed in each processing gap in electric discharge processing and by controlling the power supply which supplies processing pulses to the gaps. CONSTITUTION:Processing electrode 1 is divided into a plurality of electrodes, 1a, 1b,..., and each electrode forms an independent processing gap with respect to object 2 to be processed. Signal detector-discriminator circuits, 9a-9n, detect, discriminate and memorize each processing gap, and control oscillators, 7a-7b, which give each signal to logic control circuit 10 and control the switch connected to the minimum processing speed gap either by increasing pulse width tauon or by reducing pulse interval tauoff so as to enable its processing speed to follow those of other gaps.
