<p>Phthalide derivs. of formula (I) are new: In (I) Z is either a gp. (II) or (un)satd. alicyclic gp. which has >=1 hydroxyl, alkoxy, acyloxy and/or oxo gp. or it is a N or S contg. heterocycle having 1 hydroxyl, alkoxy, acyloxy and/or oxo gp. or it is a N or S contg. heterocycle having >=1 hydroxyl, alkoxy, acyloxy and/or oxo gp; R1-R5 are each halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, haloalkyl, aryl, hydroxy, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, acyloxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, carboxy, carboxyalkyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, nitrile or nitro, >=1 being hydroxy alkoxy or acyloxy, and R1 and/or R2 and/or R3 and/or R4 and/or R5 may form part of an alicyclic, aromatic polycyclic or heterocyclic fused ring, which may be substd. The cpds. may be given orally, parenterally or rectally, the normal dosage being 200 mg 2-6 times daily.</p> |
