Machine reinforcing rope with cast pieces - has axially movable clamp spreading rope strands within mould for self-reinforcement

A machine producing reinforced rope, partic. for pig and poultry farm feed conveyors, comprises a bed mounting two half moulds with aligned holes for the rope, a stepwise feeder for the rope, and a pouring system. A rope fluffer is mounted adjacent the mould and has two members grooved in alignment with the holes. The members are movable axially when closed until they enter a half-mould hole, while the other hole fixes the rope in position. The members are pref. moved by two spring-loaded levers or by a parallelogram with a power cylinder. Reinforcing the pieces with the actual rope strands increases service life.
