The roof mounted warning light (1) for a vehicle is located on the roof by a rubber suction pad (9) and is stabilised in this setting by an adjustable strap (7) extending to a side clamp (6) on the side gutter. The strap incorporates the supply leads to the lamp. No permanent fitting is required on the roof so that a plain vehicle is rapidly converted for emergency use. The gutter clamp is fitted with a simple snap action, and without tools. The strap prevents the lamp from shifting on the roof.
