<p>The carriage extrusion machine has two carriages, guided in slideways on the machine frame, parallel to the direction of extrusion. The carriages are coupled to revolving curve carriers, and have an automatic grab opener, and a grab closer, the latter being coupled to the carriage drive. Each carriage has an associated cam disc held non-turnably on two synchronously driven drive shafts in the machine frame. The disc are coupled to the carriages via double-armed levers. Each lever may be pivoted about a machine frame axis parallel to the drive shafts. The shorter level arm engages on a cam disc, while the longer lever arm is moveably fastened to the carriage concerned.</p> |
