A film cutting machine is used where the register holes along the edges cut off during the cutting process. There is a support plate with press beams which can be lifted and lowered. The cutting blades are mounted next to the pressing beams. A register pin holder (15) is fitted with register pins (25) which mesh with the register holes. The holder is mounted on the side of the press beams facing the cutting side (9) above the support plate (2). The beams (4) have cutouts at the bottom through which the pin holder extends.
