An electrode (Ti grid), used in a cell for electrolysis of alkali metal chlorides, had 2 surfaces arranged parallel to each other with a space between them. At least 1 conductive support was mounted on the electrode surface, in the space between the electrode surfaces, and had one portion whose curvature is about 2-30≦̸to the horizontal position. The curved section occupied 5-95% of the length of the conductive support.
