The hydraulic conveyor system is for solids and particularly coal, this being graded into several sizes before delivery into the system. After grading, only the particles are sorted out from the material which have a strong tendency to choke the system. The graded material can be divided into definite batches and mixed with the separating medium, before abrupt delivery into a shaft (2) filled with the medium. There can be shafts for the individual grades, whose lengths correspond to the particle size, also a water-filled housing containing a drive shaft (4) with a number of metering devices (3) moving on it and sliding in relation to each other. The shaft works in conjunction with rams (12, 25) actuating shutters etc. |
