The mobile continuous mixer for the continuous production of low-viscosity bituminous mixed materials has a horizontally arranged mixing trough which has a material inlet and arranged in which there are two shafts (8) which run parallel to one another, are driven so as to contrarotate and are fitted with mixing blades (14) as mixing tools. The mixing blades (14) are predominantly pitched in such a way that they convey the material to be mixed along the mixing trough to an outlet provided at an end face. The remainder of the mixing blades (14) are pitched, especially in the material inlet zone, so as to convey against the main flow of the material to be mixed. In order to achieve optimum homogenisation of a wide range of mixing components over a short mixing distance, the circumferential speed of the mixing blades (14) joined to the mixing shafts (8) can be set to be more than 5 m/sec at their free ends. In addition, the diameter of the intersecting envelope circles (H) formed by the mixing blades (14) arranged at the mixing shafts (8) is about 1.5 times the axial distance (A) of the mixing shafts(8), the trough radii (R) about 0.75 times, and the width (B) about 2.5 times.
