OIL STRAINER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION USING SAID STRAINER

PURPOSE:To manufacture an oil strainer with wide flow channel area by disposing a filter element obliquely by means of supporting bosses provided in a suction and discharge body formed anglewise. CONSTITUTION:An oil strainer 1 for an automatic transmission consists of a suction side body 2, a discharge side body 3 and a filter element 5 clamped between both bodies. Both bodies 2 and 3 are constituted anglewise shape so that a suction section 6 and a discharge section 7 are formed deep. Also, peripheries 9 and 10 are formed to be in contact with each other oil-tightly, and a number of supporting bosses 13 and 15 are projectingly formed from bottom surfaces 11 and 12. The filter element 5 is fixed between both bodies 1 and 2 in the state of being set obliquely at a given angle to the suction section 6 and the discharge section 7.
