The steel mast has a frame with at least three tubes running in its lengthways direction. These tubes are commonly joined by transverse components in order to form a frame. They have front flanges, (4) to which cover sections of the mast are fixed by bolts. These cover sections can be either flat or round bent plates, and the transverse components (2) are angled in order to increase the inner free space of the mast. These latter components (2) are also screwed to the flanges (3) of the tubes (1). The frame itself is quadrangular, and at each angle point is one of the tubes (1) provided with flanges (3).
