<p>An improved digital display device is provided. It includes (a) three spaced-apart surfaces; (b) five nonidentical segments associated with such surfaces, the segments being activatable by energy to be optically visible, two said spaced apart surfaces being opposite faces of a transparent substrate, and at least one segment being disposed on each face of said transparent substrate and (c) means selectively activatable to supply activating energy to one or more of the segments, thereby to provide a visible representation of a selected alpha-numeric element. This type of structure minimizes the electrical connection and simplifies the construction.</p> |
