发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LASER WELDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To nondestructively perform optimum laser welding, by irradiating the laser light on the overlapped two or more parts to be welded, for the welding work, and also, by irradiating another laser light for measuring the surface microstructure of the part to be welded on the opposite side against the irradiation of the first laser light, for the purpose of measuring the depth of weld. CONSTITUTION:Parts W1, W2, to be welded are overlapped and are placed at the welding position between the first and the second laser irradiators. The laser light L2 is irradiated from the second laser irradiator; the intensity distribution of the prewelding speckle being reflected from the surface of the part W2 is detected by the detector 6 and is memorized in the memory circuit 7. Next, the laser light L1 is irradiated by the first laser irradiator from the side of the part W1, and the intensity distribution of the speckle is detected by the detector 6; then, the arithmetic circuit 8 operates the difference between the pre- and post-welding intensity distributions; from the result of this operation, the depth of weld is operated. This result is sent to the laser-oscillation-automatic-adjuster 9 on the purpose to adjust the condition of laser oscillation for the welding work so as to be optimum.
