The loader has a skip(6) which can swing about a horizontal axis(5). The bottom(9) of the skip, when it occupies its lowest position, is inclined towards the side remote from the axis(5). The support(4) for the skip is inclined outwardly so that axis(5) is above wheels(2). The skip is supported by a side support(15). The skip is loaded by a conveyor(16) which is mounted at the front.
