PURPOSE:To prevent the inflow of leaked ion exchange resin into apparatus on the down-flow side by switching the flow sequence of water for both apparatuses by operating the swiching valve provided on the bypass of filtering apparatus and desalination apparatus and also the switching valves provided on the both intake and exhaust port sides of the desalination aparatus and the intake side of the filtering apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When the leakage of ion exchange resin in the desalination apparatus 4 takes place, the resin is exposed to high temperatures at the water supply heater 6, whereby sulfuric acid, etc. is formed by decomposition of the resin and thus the pH of supply water is reduced. Whereupon, a signal from the pH meter 11 which detects the lowering of the pH is sent out to close the electricity-driven switching valves 18 to 20 and at the same time to open the electricity- driven switching valves 13, 15, and 17. In short, the opening and closing condition of these valves is opposed to the usual operation. Thus, the condensed water discharged from the condensing pump 2 is introduced into the desalination apparatus 4 through the bypass 12 and then flows into the filtering apparatus 16 through bypass 16, where leaked ion exchange resin is removed, and lastly supplied to the atomic pile 9 through the bypass 14, the pressure-rising pump 5, the low- pressure water supply heater 6, and the high-pressure water supply heater 8. |
