PURPOSE:To provide a reflection plate for lighting apparatus, which is provided with a curvature along the length of the same, so as to reflect light to places remote from the lighting apparatus and thus to prevent the brightness is high only at the front of the apparatus, whereby it is enabled to make the brightness uniformly in every direction. CONSTITUTION:Reflection plate 1 for lamp 2 is made in the form of a saddle. It is assumed here that X-axis is taken along the length of reflection plate 1. And, the reflection plate 1 is shaped such that, when the reflection plate 1 is cut by a plane perpendicular to the X-axis, the section provide a parabolic form, whereas, when the plate 1 is cut by a plane including the X-axis, curvature of the plate 1 provides a parabolic form. With such an arrangment, light emitted from lamp 2 is reflected off the parabolic surface of reflection plate 1 so that it is enabled to reflect light in a wide range. In the above arrangment, it is also possible to compose the curvature of reflection plate 1 by a plurality of parabolic planes. |
