PURPOSE:In rapid cooling of vegetables or the like contained in corrugated cardboard boxes, to improve cooling efficiency by arranging the boxes so as to form spaces and flowing low-temperature air directly through the spaces. CONSTITUTION:Boxes 15 containing goods 20 such as vegerables have faces 17 and 17' provided with ventilation holes 18 and 18'. The boxes 15 are so arranged that the faces 17 come outside and the faces 17' come inside, to form a surrounded space 19. Each space 19 is closed at the top by a closer plate 14. Low-temperature air from an external refrigerator 1 is forcedly fed into the spaces 19 through a blower 11, duct 12, and flexible ducts 13 so that the air passes through the interior of the boxes 15 to cool goods 20. Results is rapid and uniform cooling of the goods 20. |
