The smoke extractor for a car comprises a high speed suction blower mounted inside the rear boot and drawing air from inside the vehicle via a set of flat profile ducts. The motor is controlled by a stepping switch with voltage tappings for different speeds. The smoke intakes are under the roof, while the blower speed control is set in front of the adjustable extract grilles. The outlet duct from the blower is protected by a non return flap.
