Wet processing esp. mercerising, of tubular textile, piece goods - whilst passing over supported cylinder under radial tension

Textile piece goods are wet processed, esp. stabilised and mercerised, in tubular form; the goods being run preliminarily in rope form through a wet processing stage. Following this, the goods are dewatered and opt. de-serated. Thereafter they are continuously tensioned, brought out to their full dia. and put through a reaction and stabilising phase. They are finally returned to rope form having been tensioned in the tubular form during the treatment with alkali. Makes possible the processing of tubular textile piece goods in their extended tubular form. By eliminating treatment whilst laid flat the side folds are not fixed and there is no distortion of the stitches as the goods go through.
