A rack for storing scientific apparatus for demonstration or teaching use has a number of shelves (2) which slide in guides (3) attached to a framework (1). A socket (4) is attached at each corner to the underside of each shelf. The necessary apparatus for a demonstration is set up on each shelf and stored there. When the apparatus is required the shelf (2) is removed from the rack (1) and placed on a trolley with the sockets (4) fitting over the projecting ends (5) of the trolley frame. The trolley is then wheeled into the lecture room.
