The boom can swivel and pivot about a vertical axis. It is intended primarily for loading and unloading motor vehicles. The boom (1) consists of an articulated arm with top arm (2) and bottom arm (3) connected by a joint. Top and bottom arms are in the form of a parallel guide linkage (2a, 2b; 3a, 3b) and can be adjusted by separate pivot drives (11, 12). The load carrier (4) has a rotary joint (9) and is connected with a loading fork (1a) or a loading hook.
