The trim strip for the car body has a C-profile and is fitted over the plastic moulded support tags (6) using a intermediate section. This has moulded tags which locate in edge slots in the trim strip and prevent it being displaced. The fitting prevents the trim strip from being displaced in a car wash and does not restrict the effectiveness of the press studs (7) through which the strip can be removed and fitted on the side of th vehicle.
