摘要 <p>A quick-acting optical cut-off obviates a material shutter as the opaque blocking medium. Instead, it uses a vacuum or gas layer transparent to the extent that it operates according to the refraction principle when the angle of incidence (V1) exceeds a critical value. Bridging surfaces (3, 4) in the same plane on the glass components (1, 2) of the cut-off effect its closure by distancing of the refraction layer's thickness (h greater than O). The refraction constants of the components (1, 2) are equal and selected so that by bridging from one direction (S1) in the vacuum or gas layer effects a total reflection at right angles (S3). When h = O it travels straight through to appear at (S2, S4).</p>
