The dial plate (1) has housings in each of which is placed a luminescent index (2). This index is formed from a mixture of luminescent material and plastic. Under the index, a layer (3) reflects the light emitted by the luminescent material. The dial plate and the indices are covered with a non-transparent protective layer (4) and with a metallised film (5). Thus, the indices are visible in darkness, but invisible in the light. <IMAGE>
