<p>PURPOSE:To decrease inexpensively and efficiently oxidizable, odorous, harmful substance contained in the exhaust gas from a shell mold foundry, by making the exhaust gas come into contact with oxygen-contg. chelated cpd., e.g., mu-peroxotetraethylenediamine-biscobalt nitrate. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas from a shell mold foundry, a sewage (night soil) treating plant, or an FRP bonding plant contg. oxidizable, harmful substances (e.g., phenol, formalin, H2S, methylmercaptan) is made to come into contact with 0.1- 40% soln. of an oxygen-contg. metallic chelate of following formula, i.g., a chelated cpd. (e.g., mu-peroxotetraethylenediamine-biscobalt nitrate) having a structural formula M-O-O-(where M is a metallic element which constitutes a chelated cpd.).</p> |
