An oil-burner having a low heating power, particularly in the range of approximately 12 and 30 Mcal/h, and a process for its operation, in which the quality of the combustion can be controlled as reliably as with oil-burners for a large or a medium heating power. This quality of combustion is obtained by a minimum dimension (d) of 10 to 15 mm of the central hole (6a) of the retaining disc, by a distance (a) from the central hole (6a) of the retaining disc to the Face (13b) of the nipple (13) of the burner head (5) in the range of 3 mm on the side of the burner head to the free face (13b) and 5 mm on the fire tube exit opening side, and by a guide for the primary combustion air flux (16) flowing through the central hole (6a) so that this flux is approximately perpendicular to at least a border area of the surface of the central hole (6a) of the retaining disc.
|
