The room ventilator as in the two main patents, has a housing which includes two longitudinal members (59) which are L shaped in cross section. The two horizontal parts (61) form the top and bottom, the rear vertical parts (60) together, form the back, and a front panel (71) and inner front panel (75) are supported at the free ends (63). The two vertical rear parts terminate in an inwardly directed flange (62) gripped by spacer blocks (80) so as to form a rear air inlet slot (56). The front plate (71) has three rows of rectangular discharge openings (54) in front of the inner front panel. The L shaped members (59) are also designed for attachment of the end panels.
