<p>Moulded mammary prosthesis comprising soft-elastic, porous, adhesive, plastics e.g. crosslinked, soft, silicone rubber, as described in the parent patent, consists of a central portion whose convex outer surface has the shape of a female breast and whose concave inner surface is suitably curved, having regard to the intended wall thickness of the prosthesis. Thin, flexible margins surround the central portion, of which that nearest a wearer's armpit has an extension for covering the region where her lymphatic glands are located. A polyurethane film strip is vulcanised onto the extension. Clinically tested (for skin tolerance) adhesive tape is glued to the polyurethane strip.</p> |
