PURPOSE:To improve working characteristics, increase adhesion to substrate, improve chemical resistance and provide required mechanical strength as the original disc for record discs by using Ti for the metal film of the information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A Ti film 9 of film thicknesses 200 to 2000 Angstrom is deposited by a sputtering or vacuum evaporation method on a heat-resistant substrate 8 such as glass. When this information recording medium is radiated with laser light 10 conforming to information recording so as to form recording tracks while being rotated, particularly fine pits 11 of good shapes free from any disorder of peripheral contours are formed. |
