PURPOSE:To enable the transmission by one optical fiber, by commonly using the light emitting diode for the transmission light source and the reception photo detector, and by selecting the transmission and reception mode in time sharing manner. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of bus stations (#1,#2...) are connected in loop shape with one fiber 10. The bus stations are provided with the transmission light emitting function 11 converting the data into optical signal and performing transmission, and the light emitting diode 13 in common use with the receiving photo detection function 13 converting the optical data from other bus stations into electric signal. Further, the transmission mode and the reception mode are performed in time sharing manner by using one light emitting diode 13, allowing to achieve the data exchange of each bus station. Further, when the failure point 14 is taken place, the data exchange is continued by taking the bus stations (#4, #5) nearest the failure point 14 as the reflection point. |
