Declutching mechanism for roller conveyor - uses depression of pivotal member to lift roller from drive belt

The declutching member (1) is pivoted on a shaft (5) which is carried in supports on angle section rails (3). Member (1) extends above rollers (4) which are similarly mounted on shafts carried in supports in rails (3). The rollers are frictionally driven by an endless belt. The member (1) has inclined front and rear faces (13, 14) and similarly inclined side faces, presenting a pyramid shape with rounded edges. Depression of member (1) lifts rods (6) which are pivoted at (10) via pad (12) to disengage roller (4) from the drive belt.
