Stacked paper sheets feed - uses telescopic pressure arm on roller mounting bracket to control contact pressure of draw roller

Feed system for sheets of paper (2) includes a draw roller (3) which is located by a hinged and spring loaded mounting bracket (14). The draw roller moves the paper along a guide plate (7) to a transport roller (9) which is located on the same hinged mounting bracket (14). The spring load on the mounting bracket which controls the contact pressure on the draw roller (3), is produced by a compression spring (31) on a hinged and telescopic shaft (26-30). If uncorrect number of sheets reach the draw roller, the resulting deflection of the mounting bracket is increased by the telescopic shaft, so that it rotates to a position where the paper transport is blocked.
