A gain control amplifier cct. using a resistive-gate type MIS transistor(19) was designed. An input signal was applied to the amplifier transistor base, and the drain and source path of the MIS transistor(19) was connected in series with the amplifier transistor emitter, and output signal was obtained from the amplifier transistor collector. A variable control voltage was applied to the gate of the MIS transistor, so that the gain of the amplifier transistor was controlled.
