Parent patent described a lubrication device for two adjacent crankpin bearings on a pilger rolling mill. The inner races of both bearings are fixed on the pins, whereas the outer races are each mounted in a connecting rod; and the two inner bearing caps close to each other are sepd. by a gap. Improvement is that the lubricant is fed through a longitudinal hole (a) in the crankshaft, and then through a transverse hole (b), and via. a recess in the inner races to gap (g); from gap (g), the lubricant flows via. an annular cavity to both bearings. The periphery of gap (g) is closed by a ring made in two pieces. |
