Knife handle with elliptical cross-section - has three different area segments to suit thumb and fingers

The handle of a knife is made in three (11, 18) segments, with each segment having a cross-section which is roughly elliptical or rectangular with rounded corners. The smaller dimension of the section is between 50% and 70% of the larger dimension. The middle section (11) has a larger cross-section than the two end segments (18). The dimensions are such that the segment nearest the blade forms a firm grip for the thumb and index finger whilst the two middle fingers fit around the middle segment and the little finger fits over the end segment.
